PFC’s Basic Course Teaching Department was founded in April 2007, consisting of politics,maths and PE three teaching offices. The major course includes compulsory courses such as Cultivation of Ethic Thought and Law, Mao Zedong Thoughts and Socialist Theory with Chinese Characteristics, Stituation and Polity, PE, Advanced Mathematics, Economic Mathematics, Linear Algebra, Applied Writing, and optional courses such as Kickboxing, Aerobics, Biography, Discrete Mathematics, Mental Health, Photography.

This department has a qualified faculty of 14, including 1 professor, 3 assistant professors, 8 lecturers and 2 teaching assistants. All teachers with advanced teaching conception, teaching and management experience can help students master skills and focus on cultivation of students’ political, physical, mental and humanistic quality.

As a teaching department, this department lay priority on teaching and cultivating talents, and making teaching innovation constantly. The politics teaching office introduces topic lectures, builds testing network, and improves the teaching results. The humanity courses has 10 modules, such as Social Etiquette, Biography urgent danger prevention and self-rescue and so on. The teaching of Applied Writing is connected with National Professional Chinese Certificate, improving students’ humanistic quality; the teaching of mathematics introduces teaching methods that is suitable to students in vocational colleges and tends to help students use mathematics to solve problems; the teaching of PE is combined with physical fitness test , attracts students’ interests and improves teaching results.
